Auroz Hails Teams Tonic

Supply specialist Auroz is hailing the arrival of a new range of Teams handsets from AudioCodes this year, which are set to pour even more fuel onto the fires of Microsoft UC adoption.

Auroz witnessed a significant increase in Teams-based device demand in 2020, accelerated by more flexible hybrid working trends due in part to the Covid pandemic. It expects even more growth this year, inspired by new products developments such as the latest handsets and video technologies from AudioCodes.

Auroz is welcoming the arrival of the AudioCodes C435HD IP phone, the first in a new range of enhanced devices which is expected to be available in the first quarter of this year.

This low-cost, Teams-native entry level/common area phone is designed to support the next generation of enterprise collaboration technologies. It features HD voice quality, a colour screen with multi-lingual support, dedicated Teams button, calendar and click-to-join support plus USB headset functionality.

“The imminent arrival of the cost effective C435HD puts the power of Microsoft Teams into the hands of even more end users due to its low cost of entry and high performance capabilities,” says Auroz Sales and Marketing Manager Ryan St John.

“We’ve had lots of reseller interest and enquiries already and we expect high demand for this handset, as well as all Teams-based technologies across our growing range.”

The AudioCodes IP phone series benefits from superior voice quality, full duplex speaker phone performance, robust security mechanisms, PoE or external power supply and centralized management supported by AudioCodes Device Manager (available for download free of charge).

The AudioCodes C470HD IP phone for example is a native Teams high-end ‘total touch’ business phone with an impressive colour touch screen and full UC integration. Another new member of the AudioCodes 400HD IP phone series, the C470HD is equipped with a large, single surface, full touch interface, incorporating an exceptionally sharp 5.5” display, with optional support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB headset capabilities.

St John says UC growth was ‘phenomenal’ for Auroz last year and he expects sales to further accelerate throughout 2021.

“Demand was growing significantly even before the pandemic. Whilst Covid was the catalyst for much more flexible working, the genie is out of the bottle and there’s no going back. Hybrid working is the future with some time spent in offices and other days at home. Technology is at the heat of a new revolution.”

He thinks many resellers are enthusiastically embracing more market choice, with Israeli-based AudioCodes providing a compelling alternative to rival brands.

“There’s no doubt resellers are looking at extending their product portfolios with more diversity and choice. Brands such as AudioCodes are accelerating this change in mindset. Many of our customers are realising they don’t need all their eggs in one brand basket.”

He also highlighted how AudioCodes is enabling resellers to take a ‘bigger piece of the management pie’ by providing complete, seamless and streamlined solutions, comprising  Session Border Controllers and Direct Routing with dedicated end point hardware.

Further product developments such as video camera and speakerphone bundles, will help AudioCodes penetrate deeper into the Australian market, St John adds.

Auroz Cracks The UC 'Code' In New Tech Partnership

Supply specialist Auroz has set-up a new business partnership designed to help resellers discover a powerful ‘code’ to UC success – and ‘Clobba’ their rivals.

Auroz is introducing sophisticated UC monitoring tool, Clobba, from UK-based Code Software, into its expanding portfolio.

Clobba utilises a suite of six modules addressing management, reporting, recording, analytics and monitoring of the most popular UC and collaboration environments and associated elements. It features a dedicated device management solution, ClobbaDM which spearheads Auroz’s activities.

“Solutions such as Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business, Cisco CUCM, Amazon Chime and Amazon Connect are transforming the modern workplace enabling remote working and more efficient ways of collaborating,” says Ryan St John, Auroz Sales Manager. “With the complexities of these platforms comes the requirement for access to clear, concise information which is delivered by Clobba and its associated modules.”

Multiple UC platforms and associated elements can be monitored and managed with a single pane of glass reducing the need for an array of different software solutions, St John highlights.

“The use of unified communications monitoring tools and their associated statistics are now, more than ever, key elements to the successful adoption and service delivery of UC platforms.”

Clobba is a simple to use Unified communications monitoring software tool, enabling quick and easy access to relevant data. It delivers valuable business and technical insights into trends of user adoption, call quality, employee productivity, call costs and much more. The information is accessed through its reports, daily dashboards, and trend monitors. Other elements such as SBC’s, headsets, SIP trunks and DID ranges can also be monitored ensuring the highest levels of service delivery through robust UC data analytics.

“Auroz provides us with a great platform to expand our presence in the Australian market,” says Kieran Mullins Partner Business Director at Code Software.

“Code Software is a global provider of solutions designed to improve the user experience and provide insight into how companies are using their UC&C platforms. We partner with market leading UC technology vendors to ensure customers maximise their communications and deliver on their digital transformation strategies.

“Consequently, partnering with Auroz is a perfect fit, leveraging the joint vendor relationships we enjoy to enable users to capitalise on the blend of expertise our organisations bring. Code’s device management solution, ClobbaDM, is part of a broader suite of UC analytics products, designed to simplify but, at the same time, add more depth to the business data available to Auroz’s customers and prospects alike.”

Clobba is designed to improve call quality, effectively manage resources, reduce costs and deliver higher customer satisfaction. It also increases employee productivity and drives user adoption and better capacity planning.

It will be a welcome addition to a reseller’s armoury, St John concludes. “We are delighted to be adding this product to our expanding solutions-based portfolio. From the latest EPOS device management to legacy Plantronics equipment Clobba can help resellers and their customers gain the edge and deliver a competitive market advantage.”

Auroz & Konftel Capture More VC Sales

For the first time in its 32-year history, conferencing specialist Konftel is now selling more video equipment than audio solutions.

Supply specialist Auroz is witnessing a six-fold rise in demand for vendor agnostic plug and play technologies, suitable for more hybrid ways of working.

High performance video kits such as the C20Ego and new all-in-one Konftel CC200 collaboration camera are revolutionising the way people work – representing a perfect fit for today’s dispersed workforce trends - along with the C2055 and C5055 complete video collaboration packages.

Konftel’s Regional Sales Director, Jeff May says video centric solutions now account for 65% of overall demand, compared to standalone audio sales. But Jeff is quick to point out that audio remains extremely popular, especially when forming a powerful all-round conferencing combination across a wide range of room environments.

“In the last six months there’s been a big shift from standalone audio to video, but these trends were growing even before the Covid crisis,” says Jeff. “It’s much more than using a laptop for Teams or Zoom. Konftel technology opens the door to BYOM (Bring Your Own Meeting) for those demanding a high quality, professional experience. We offer full flexibility with a wide choice of video/collaboration cloud services.”

He emphasised: “There’s been a big shift with eight out of 10 website enquiries now video based. Everyone should be selling video and Konftel makes it easy to do so. The genie is out of the bottle.

“Sales of USB solutions have massively accelerated and there was possibly an element of panic buying at the start of lockdown. But now more considered sales are on the rise with lots of reseller upgrade opportunities as people begin to return to the office whilst also working from home.”

The rise in demand is mirrored at Auroz where business has grown by 600% this year.
Sales and Marketing Manager, Ryan St John says demand will continue to flourish.

“After the initial explosion to the home what we expect to see over the next six to 12 months is major growth in hybrid video solutions, suitable for board rooms and huddle rooms and also dedicated home working environments, where users demand the highest quality audio and video experience.

“I think what Covid has shown is that people can work effectively from home as well as in the office. Hardware and software that ticks all the boxes across all categories will accelerate much further forward – based on technology that’s easy to install and easy to use, wherever people are working.”

Ryan says video has the potential for bigger and more lucrative individual reseller projects involving hundreds of units, for remote workers, huddle rooms and larger meeting areas.

Health authorities have invested heavily in video for internal meetings and triage, with schools also embracing the technology in a massive numbers.

Auroz offers a complete range of solutions as Ryan concluded: “The refitting of offices is bubbling away combined with more flexible working from home. Many people are able to perform more flexibly and audio and video from Konftel and Auroz is helping revolutionise the world of work.”

New Tech And A New Face Welcomed

Fast-growing UC distributor Auroz is celebrating a double boost – expanding its customer support team with a new addition, and also welcoming powerful new product innovations from EPOS Audio that can help businesses adapt and enhance their Covid-19 safety plans.

Amanda Morton has joined the expanding company to extend her 10-year customer service expertise, specialising in IT. She has been recruited from HP distributor EMPR and has previous experience at ICT Service Provider, Data#3. In a further boost Auroz has added the EXPAND 80 speakerphone from EPOS to its growing product range and welcomed the launch of a true mobile DECT Headset for communication anywhere and everywhere.

Auroz Sales and Marketing Manager Ryan St John, says the appointment of Amanda is further evidence of the company’s continued progression – as more workers across the country start to return to their offices.

“It’s been a very busy year and we are delighted to welcome Amanda to our team. She brings a wealth of experience and is a great addition, ensuring we continue to provide the highest levels of customer support.”

Turning to the EXPAND 80, Ryan highlighted: “In an era when more people are returning to the office, the EXPAND 80 is the perfect solution to provide safe ways of conferencing, from a social distance.

“Users can unite colleagues with a premium, scalable Bluetooth device for up to 16 in-room participants. They can be heard thanks to six adaptive, beamforming microphones that isolate voices from room reverb and ambient noise. It’s a superior speaker for rich, natural sound. Finished with a sleek, high quality Scandinavian design, users can align with their team through perfect audio and superior style.”

There’s also a version certified for Microsoft Teams to cover meetings with up to seven in-room participants, as Ryan highlighted: “For larger meetings, users can add one or two expansion microphones—the EXPAND 80 Mic—to accommodate meetings with 11 or 18 in-room participants, enabling professionals to adapt to the demands of their business, while maintaining a professional conference table with smart cable management developed for optimal system function and ease of use.

“Empower collective performance with this advanced speakerphone that isolates human voices from distracting background noises, so that everyone in the room can be heard and colleagues out of the office are closer to the conversation.”

Furthermore, the EXPAND 80T features a dedicated Teams button, so users can launch the Teams app instantly to ensure intuitive and streamlined experiences such as one touch meetings.

“With its core focus on medium to larger meeting rooms, the EXPAND 80 innovation strengthens our repertoire to support all meeting room sizes, and supports EPOS’ ambition to make communication with colleagues and customers simply a matter of plug-and-play,” Ryan emphasised. It is priced at $1,149 (MRSP inc GST).

In addition, he is excited by the launch of a new set of longer-range wireless headsets. EPOS’ latest innovation does away with a traditional desk base station and connects an IMPACT 5000 DECT headset directly to a laptop or PC through a compact, discreet plug-and-play USB dongle.

“From the busy office with high-density DECT environments to a home office, the DECT dongle keeps users mobile and productive without the need to move and install cumbersome base stations. There’s no need to find desk space and a power outlet. Plug the USB dongle into a PC or laptop and they are ready to go.

“It combines simplicity with mobility for true communication on the go. With the IMPACT 5000 headset series and the DECT dongle, just one headset is all people need to work from anywhere. Enjoy the peace of mind with superior wireless DECT security, superior call quality and seamless connectivity with this neat, simple, mobile solution.”

He concluded: “These latest EPOS solutions, along with many others available from Auroz can help form an integral part of a company’s plan to allow employees a safe return to the office, work from home or combine the two. In these unpredictable times technology is playing a frontline role in allowing people and their employers to remain productive in a covidsafe way.”

Auroz Growth Continues

Fast-growing UC distributor Auroz is utilising the latest technologies from EPOS | Sennheiser and Audiocodes to inspire a home working sales boom where demand has accelerated by over 600%.

Microsoft Teams certified devices such as headsets and speakerphones together with busylights from Kuando are helping resellers transition their customers to a home working revolution.

Sales and Marketing Manager, Ryan St John, says the new ADAPT Line series of headsets and Expand speakerphones from EPOS are proving particularly popular along with the latest conferencing innovations from Audiocodes.

Demand for collaboration solutions has rocketed to record levels in recent months, ensuring traditional office-based workers can operate more flexibly and just as effectively from home.

“We expected that once businesses enabled their employees to work from home that we would see demand for headsets in particular go back to pre-pandemic levels. Instead what we are seeing six months later is a high demand for more premium products. The low-cost headset effectively enabled people to work from home quickly in large numbers, and now those people are seeing there’s products that allow you to be even more productive. While EPOS and Audiocodes are our biggest sellers along with Kuando and Embrava presence indicators we offer an extensive product portfolio from other world leaders such as conferencing specialists Konftel and Starleaf.”

Managing Director, Jason North, says work has become ‘something you do, not where you go’. He believes there are many more opportunities for resellers and systems integrators to exceed their own customers’ expectations, based on high quality technologies available from Auroz. He also questions if the old ways of working will ever return as before.

Auroz is also enjoying lots of success with ISDN gateways that help keep legacy phone systems operating, especially in the healthcare and government sectors, where more SIP-based alternatives are having to be deployed.

“The Covid crisis has been a terrible experience for so many people and our thoughts and prayers remain with all those affected,” said Jason. “Here at Auroz we are playing a frontline role in helping businesses adapt to very challenging times. For many months we have been extremely busy and we continue to work hard with our growing army of resellers to ensure companies big and small can take advantage of the latest technologies – to not just survive but thrive during these difficult days – and keep the country’s economy moving forward.”

In addition, Auroz has been forging productive new partnerships, to further fuel business growth - after teaming up with smart technology specialist VAVA and also world leading German manufacturer Horst-Platz GmbH to offer the Plathosys CT 460 Pro USB handset which seamlessly integrates with sophisticated mobile eHealth stations for crystal clear, instant audio – in addition to visual communication.

Auroz has added VAVA’s acclaimed USB hubs and 4K laser projectors to its traditional UC product portfolio – and for the first time, dashcams too.

“USB hubs and projectors will find a natural home with our existing channel, while the dashcams are an exciting new addition which I’m sure will give new channel partners the opportunity to experience working with Auroz,” Jason pointed out.

Auroz has teamed up with world leading German manufacturer Horst-Platz GmbH to offer the Plathosys CT 460 Pro USB handset which seamlessly integrates with sophisticated mobile eHealth stations for crystal clear, instant audio – in addition to visual communication.

The plug-and-play Plathosys CT 460 Pro delivers optimal acoustic performance as part of a portable emedicine resource – working in tandem with today’s Unified Communication platforms. It features an included loudspeaker, operated at the touch of a button.

Ryan says the digitalization of rounds was becoming ever more common, even before the outbreak of Covid-19.

“Tele-consultations and emedicine are increasingly replacing practice visits. What is already established in Australia for geographical reasons is gaining ground everywhere due to structural changes in rural areas: eHealth and telemedicine. Precise image transmission and perfect acoustic speech are essential for making the right medical decisions from a distance – and we are delighted to offer this innovative handset solution.”

Simple and easy to disinfect, the Plathosys CT 460 Pro is based on easy set-up and intuitive operation, as Ryan emphasised: “If necessary, all those present can listen in and discuss. No debriefing is required as there’s no loss of information. It’s a major step forward for the whole industry.”

Horst-Platz GmbH CEO, Uwe Platz, has hailed the Plathosys handset as a groundbreaking milestone.

“Mobile eHealth stations set a new standard in helping revolutionise the future of heath care and telemedicine. This USB handset from Plathosys is a milestone for improved cooperation and communication. Every visit and every consultation requires crystal clear voice transmission. It’s easy to use, instantly usable as a speaker, and works perfectly with Unified Comms platforms such as Microsoft Teams. We are proud to be working with Auroz and its reseller partner base to bring this dynamic device across Australia.”

Auroz Inspires Home Working Revolution

Fast-growing UC distributor Auroz is helping inspire a home working revolution, as the country continues to battle the Covid-19 crisis.

Demand for collaboration products such as headsets and conferencing devices has rocketed by as much as 600% in recent months, ensuring office-based workers can operate more flexibly and just as effectively from home.

Managing Director, Jason North, says work has become ‘something you do, not where you go’. He believes there are many more opportunities for resellers and systems integrators to exceed their own customers’ expectations, based on high quality technologies from brands such as EPOS I Sennheiser and Audiocodes.

The last three months have been extremely busy and we continue to work hard with our growing army of resellers to ensure companies big and small can take advantage of the latest technologies – to not just survive but thrive during these difficult days – and keep the country’s economy moving forward.”

He added: “There’s still people beginning to work from home. Many employers are sending staff home because they have to rather than because they want to. But there are many advantages of working from home such as increased productivity, flexibility and a greater work/life balance. I think more people are beginning to realise modern technology enables them to work just as effectively outside their traditional office environments. In today’s changing world, they can work from almost anywhere and more and more people are embracing this ethos.”

Sales and Marketing Manager, Ryan St John, highlighted how reseller upgrade opportunities are becoming more prevalent.

“I think at the start some businesses weren’t fully prepared for the mass migration home and perhaps some of the equipment they bought wasn’t quite suitable and didn’t provide an optimal user experience. Cabled headsets are much more restrictive that wire-free alternatives for example. Brands such as EPOS from Auroz deliver enriched audio performance, whilst Teams certified devices from across our range work seamlessly with modern UC platforms.”

He concluded: “Through our reseller partners we’re helping accelerate home working trends, ensuring organisations develop their own working practices so that if there is a second Covid wave, they are much better prepared.”
