Auroz & Konftel Capture More VC Sales
For the first time in its 32-year history, conferencing specialist Konftel is now selling more video equipment than audio solutions.
Supply specialist Auroz is witnessing a six-fold rise in demand for vendor agnostic plug and play technologies, suitable for more hybrid ways of working.
High performance video kits such as the C20Ego and new all-in-one Konftel CC200 collaboration camera are revolutionising the way people work – representing a perfect fit for today’s dispersed workforce trends – along with the C2055 and C5055 complete video collaboration packages.
Konftel’s Regional Sales Director, Jeff May says video centric solutions now account for 65% of overall demand, compared to standalone audio sales. But Jeff is quick to point out that audio remains extremely popular, especially when forming a powerful all-round conferencing combination across a wide range of room environments.
“In the last six months there’s been a big shift from standalone audio to video, but these trends were growing even before the Covid crisis,” says Jeff. “It’s much more than using a laptop for Teams or Zoom. Konftel technology opens the door to BYOM (Bring Your Own Meeting) for those demanding a high quality, professional experience. We offer full flexibility with a wide choice of video/collaboration cloud services.”
He emphasised: “There’s been a big shift with eight out of 10 website enquiries now video based. Everyone should be selling video and Konftel makes it easy to do so. The genie is out of the bottle.
“Sales of USB solutions have massively accelerated and there was possibly an element of panic buying at the start of lockdown. But now more considered sales are on the rise with lots of reseller upgrade opportunities as people begin to return to the office whilst also working from home.”
The rise in demand is mirrored at Auroz where business has grown by 600% this year.
Sales and Marketing Manager, Ryan St John says demand will continue to flourish.
“After the initial explosion to the home what we expect to see over the next six to 12 months is major growth in hybrid video solutions, suitable for board rooms and huddle rooms and also dedicated home working environments, where users demand the highest quality audio and video experience.
“I think what Covid has shown is that people can work effectively from home as well as in the office. Hardware and software that ticks all the boxes across all categories will accelerate much further forward – based on technology that’s easy to install and easy to use, wherever people are working.”
Ryan says video has the potential for bigger and more lucrative individual reseller projects involving hundreds of units, for remote workers, huddle rooms and larger meeting areas.
Health authorities have invested heavily in video for internal meetings and triage, with schools also embracing the technology in a massive numbers.
Auroz offers a complete range of solutions as Ryan concluded: “The refitting of offices is bubbling away combined with more flexible working from home. Many people are able to perform more flexibly and audio and video from Konftel and Auroz is helping revolutionise the world of work.”
